Yazeed Al Rahji is taking the positives from a tough race as he completed the Rally Sardinia on Sunday despite a streak of terrible luck.

 In one of WRC’s most challenging events Yazeed and co-driver Michael Orr got thrown every bit of bad luck possible but somehow they recovered to finish the race in 27^th position after some amazing work from the team to fix the car.

 Speaking after completing 19 gruelling stages, Yazeed said he and the team will learn from the experience. “We had a lot of bad luck this race, first of all we rolled off the road and then secondly we had an unbalanced brake so we lost the brakes in the morning. That made things very hard, and then we broke the drive shaft so all in one race this is a lot of bad luck!

 “We can take experience from it, it’s not an easy rally, it’s very difficult, very technical – so we will take the experience and improve from there.”

 Next up for Yazeed and the team is the PZM Rally Poland at the end of June, which is another race that will present some big challenges.

 “Poland is also going to be very difficult because it’s a very fast rally and sometimes we lose some time in the fast sections so that’s a big challenge for me. We have Poland and then Finland after that so I hope I will improve in those sections and we can achieve good results,” he said.

The Rally Poland runs from June 30^th – July 3^rd and then it’s a quick turnaround with the Neste Rally Finland starting just over three weeks later.
