Entering his 11th season, Al Rajhi, alongside his co-driver Timo Gottschalk, aims to make history on home soil in front of his passionate fans.

Since debuting in Dakar in 2015, Al Rajhi has established himself as one of the standout competitors, earning the nickname “The Dark Horse” for his exceptional skills and relentless determination. In 2022, he made history by becoming the first Saudi driver to secure a podium finish in the top car category, solidifying his position as a global contender.

The Dakar Rally 2025, set to run from January 3 to 17, will cover 7,700 kilometers, with 5,100 kilometers of timed stages across Saudi Arabia’s diverse landscapes. For the first time, the rally will begin in Bisha and feature a challenging 48-hour “Chrono” stage and a rest day in Hail, the birthplace of rallying in the Kingdom.

The race concludes in the Shubaytah area of the Empty Quarter, the world’s fourth-largest desert, amidst a festive atmosphere at the heart of the bivouac, adding a unique touch to this year’s edition.

For the first time, the rally will begin in the city of Bisha, with five stages featuring separate routes for FIA vehicles and FIM motorcycles. These routes make up 45% of the timed distance, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s high organizational standards and the unique technical challenges that define the event.
